Default How many are still dying when solo farm??

Just wondering is some are still dying when they solo farm?

any sort of lag does not count...

forgot to cast a skill
instead of being careful you rushed into it
etc

Ecto farming to finally get my chaos gloves

1st and 2nd casted my skill to soon and it wasnt far enough and dam Aatxe killed me...

3rd run finally made it to smite, nightmare popped up and instead of me running away I attacked it and forgot he can remove Enchantments and you know the rest..

^^ lol yes, the Mes boss Someoneorother the Spiritlessorsomething takes some careful e-management to kill in HM...

I die lots when soloing - usually because guildies and others are talking to me and Prot runs out while I'm talking back and not concentrating...

The rest of the times are when I'm trying to take the farmer girl to new places and I don't know what the foes have on their skill bars.

I sometimes die while farming for Destroyer Cores with my W/Rt. You can get unlucky sometimes, and they sometimes seriously SPIKE with Lamentation.

It's like 1 out of 20 runs though, but still.

A few of my runs are "dangerous" in that there are enough interrupters that I may not be able to get either Prot Spirit or Mystic Regen off in time on my monk no matter what I do. My 130 HP Dervish still farms some places that are also "dangerous" where skill recharges have a small window where the groups can kill me. I definitely die from time to time doing any of these things. Of course, there are also farming runs with the 130hp dervish that you intentionally suicide but they should count less than lag.

As for other runs I sometimes get distracted by real life (phone rings or other such thing) or I do the farming while after consuming large amounts of alcohol - all of those sometimes results in deaths.

Most of the farming runs are really easy if you pay 100% attention, most of the better ones have a large chance of dieing if you neglect to do that for a short period of time. Anyone who says they do not die from time to time farming either isn't farming one of the better spots, isn't telling the truth, or has a special spot they better hope no one else finds.

However, other than the first few runs to figure out what is going on you shouldn't unintentionally die very often either. One should go at least a few skill points between deaths if not more.

Shit happens when you party naked... and when the margin between living and dying is a single bad click or split second distraction.

any time you 55/105/600 monk it takes a slip of the finger, tiny misstime, or hitting the wrong skill to cause death

could there possibly be anything suprising about that?

Yeah it happens now and then, usually because i'm talking to a friend and forget to press a skill.
Although lag is not counted, i do get that too.

Must be a difference between our builds - I never have a problem with the Me boss in Gates - it is the Ranger boss who usually gets 2 me's with him and one of them interrupts.

For me it is flawless victory against the 4 casters, standoff or lucky timing for 20% win v tank, and probably less than 5% I beat the ranger

Back on topic - usually only carelessness that takes people down. Once they have got used to the correct timings of their builds it gets almost automatic.

Happens every 20 runs or so if I press the wrong skill, or get body blocked, or trying to type a message
(mostly at Raptor-Farming at the moment)
It would be un-human if it didnt happen every now and then^^

^^ HAHA Cordian got the other one I tend to do when not concentrating - in Farhanur, get the undead bounty, move a little way towards the mob, prot the the sunspear at the shrine, run a few paces and promptly die... >.<

Always when the wife is speaking to me.

Been married nealry 30 years and have been cought out in the past when not really listening to her and have apparently agreed to give her some money!

Real life cash more important than GW cash to me

When 600ing my shift key often gets stuck.

Not helpful, run into mob all casted up. Dance about a bit, ooh healths dipping:

*Presses 2 (Spirit Bond)*
*Presses 2 again*
*Hmm (Death occurs)*
*Ohhhhh*

Ogden's very forgiving though.

The raptor cave kills me quite a lot, sometimes its rubber banding, but most of the times its the boss that kills me with his touch skill, but mostly after all the stuff that dropped from the nestlings.

Oh sure, lag kills me from time to time. So does the occasionally poorly timed chat. Then there are the test runs where I ask "wonder if this will work" and then I go and see, tweak and then go try it again.

Overall though, if its a run I know, I dont die all that often.

When I used to farm Hidden City on my necromancer, I always told my guildies I was farming deaths; I died too much for the thing to become profitable :|. Other than that, lag or chat. I don't die -too much- though.
